This BitSwitch will allow two or more trains to operate on a layout that has stations with dual lines. The turnout located at the entry to the station must alternate the trains between lines automatically. The Turnout reed switch on line "A" must throw both turnouts to line "B" and visa-versa.
The BitSwitch
will not control the turnout. The Turnout
reed switch on line "A"
must throw both turnouts to line "B" and visa-versa. Two
extra Reed switches are provided for
this purpose and can be connected in the same manor as control panel pulse
switches so the train will automatically throw the turnouts as required. The switch will hold one train in the station area while a second train traverses the layout. When a train on the main line re-enters the station area on the adjacent line the second train will depart. If the engineer wishes to only operate one train the DC- BitSwitch is equipped with an ON/OFF switch. In the off position trains will not be stopped in the station.
