Layout Design Assistance If you would like assistance with the initial design of a new automated layout or with suggestions for automating your current layout we are pleased to provide basic design support. The charge for this service is $35/hour All you need provide is a rough sketch of your layout and the overall dimensions of the available space along with basic guide lines as to the scale and number of trains you wish to operate during automatic sessions and the desired direction of traffic flow. Sketches may be hand drawn or created using "Paint", "CADRAIL" or another graphics package. Computer sketches must be submitted in .jpeg, .gif .bmp or .crw (cadrail) format to DCCBitSwitch@msn.co,
Hand drawn or printed sketches maybe mailed to 31190 Eagle Crest Lane, Evergreen CO 80439 You will receive a suggested layout similar to the one below indicating the number and location of required Isolated Segments, BitSwitch Products and Track Contacts This layout requires 1 Station, 1 Spur and 4 Block BitSwitches and has 8 isolator gaps and 13 track contacts. It will operate 2 to 6 trains in the Automatic Mode but would be most interesting if limited to 4 trains.
